Notes on Society: An intellectual perspective of High School

I was sitting in class the other day and I noticed how no one was paying attention. I asked my self "self, why does everybody take this for granted". I had come to the realization that we live in a world that is so not caught up in it's daily routine that when we go to class all we hear is the Charlie Brown teacher "waa wa wa wa wa". This bothered me, how can people walk through life, whether it is good at the moment or not? How can students only be enthralled with the drama when there is a beautiful masterpiece of life playing in front of their eyes? All though the daily drama is sometimes considered a masterpiece of sorts, they are missing the bigger picture. If they were to look at was happening to them and take part in the piece of work their lives would be much happier (even though they seem happy as they are). But instead of looking at what they have and not at what they are being given, they look at education and what is being presented to them in class as a burden. How can this be a burden? The teacher has given them the knowledge to work to what they are trying to achieve in the long run. They do not try to seek the stones in the river so they can cross, but instead they look for a long enough pole to pole vault themselves across. The sad fact is, is that there is no pole that long and that they do in fact have to seek the stones to walk across. And some complain that this is not the way that a final goal should be met. And some complain that the stepping stones make to much of a indirect path to the final destination. I myself have complained such things. But I have come to the conclusion that the stones can't be changed right now. Only in the future, when our generation changes it. And the generation that is learning from ours will complain. And then they will change it also. The cycle will never stop cycling. Thus, the continuous cycle of nonintellectuals will never cease.
But there must be a way, there must be a way to stop this cycle from fulfilling itself. Ah, there is the predicament, how can we stop such a promiscuous cycle. Through communication between generations. If we were to listen to what the students think, and actually changed it. Of course we have national conferences of what students think, but nothing changes. And when I say that we have to ask the students, I don't mean the ones that say "Oh, we just shouldn't even have school" and other similar things. When I talk about the students, I mean the intellectual community that observes their peers and picks out details that need to be fixed. This is the group of individuals that eventually become the world powers, the people who make the decisions. So why don't we ask, AND PUT TO TRIAL their ideas. Not just say "Oh, well thats a good one but we are just going to keep it the same."

This is my solution to the problem of deficiency in education, even though the deficiency is not that noticeable. Thank you for listening/reading. Even though it was at your will.
